Concurrent
About the app
What is Concurrent?
Concurrent is an iPhone training app being built to bring running, strength and recovery into one connected plan. It is designed for people who want to develop more than one discipline without managing separate, disconnected programmes.
Who is Concurrent for?
It is being designed for people who combine running and strength training, from those building a consistent routine to athletes working towards a specific running, strength or hybrid goal. Your plan is shaped around your experience, schedule, equipment and priorities.
Is Concurrent available to download?
Concurrent is not yet available on the App Store. You can join the early access list to hear about progress and the launch. We will share availability when it is confirmed.
Does Concurrent support training twice a day?
The planning experience is designed to account for people who sometimes train twice in one day, so sessions can be considered as part of the same overall training load.

Training and coaching
How does Concurrent plan running and strength together?
The Training Engine considers your goals, available days, recent training and recovery when organising sessions. The aim is to balance the demands of running and strength across the week, rather than treating each discipline in isolation.
What is the Training Engine?
The Training Engine is the rules-based system responsible for training recommendations. It considers information such as your plan, completed and missed sessions, running and strength workload, recovery and goals. Its decisions are consistent and are the source of truth for your plan.
What does the AI Coach do?
The AI Coach explains Training Engine decisions, answers questions about your plan and helps you understand your progress. It does not independently make or apply training decisions. The Training Engine remains in control.
Can Concurrent change my plan if I miss a workout?
The coaching system is designed to account for completed and missed sessions when reviewing the wider plan. It aims to adjust what comes next sensibly, rather than simply stacking missed work on top of everything else.
Does Concurrent replace a medical or healthcare professional?
No. Concurrent provides training guidance, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you have an injury, medical condition or concern about exercising, speak to an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
